Our tracks are rated to transport 286,000 lb rail cars, we can transport the most modern freight cars. The SMVRR connects with Guadalupe, California, interchanging with the Union Pacific Railroad. Through our Cooperative Marketing Agreement with the UPRR, we have direct access to integrated nationwide marketing, sales, pricing, operations and administrative strengths of the UPRR. TRANSLOADING SERVICES If your company is located on the Central Coast but not located along a rail served location, consider the SMVRR Transloading Services, where your freight is trucked to and from your location to one of our rail spurs or yard to be transloaded to and from freight cars. CONTRACT LOCOMOTIVE AND RAILCAR REPAIR We have a full locomotive repair shop and we can perform locomotive and railcar repairs off-site. We have a fleet of maintenance of way equipment and qualified track inspectors and maintenance of way workers.
