The Railroad Vacates the Downtown Freight Depot
The first milestone of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad (SMVRR) headquarters move from out of downtown was completed this past weekend. The Santa Maria Valley Railroad has moved all of its offices from the old freight depot building in downtown Santa Maria to its new home at the site of the Union Sugar mill in Betteravia.
Over the next month, the balance of the downtown yard will be vacated to the same location in Betteravia.
The Santa Maria Valley Railroad's new physical address is 2820 West Betteravia Road, Santa Maria, CA 93458.
