The Betteravia Industrial Park is located at 2820 W. Betteravia Road just west of Santa Maria and south of Guadalupe. The Betteravia Industrial Park is served by the Santa Maria Valley Railroad and has convenient truck access from Betteravia Road. The 5 acre park has transloading facilities, on ground and covered storage, warehouse space, food grade storage silos, and a petroleum grade storage tank. TEAM TRACK
The Betteravia Industrial Park offers a fully paved Team Track with concrete apron areas where flat cars, centerbeam flat cars, gondola cars, covered hopper cars, and tank cars can be unloaded or loaded by customers.

The following are examples of customers who utilize the Team Track:

Lumber Customers
Lumber yards located anywhere on the Central Coast can unload centerbeam flat cars.
Building Materials
Dry wall on centerbeam flat cars, steel on flat cars.

Dry Bulk Customers
Plastic pellets, products hauled by covered hopper cars, scrap metal hauled by gondola cars, aggregates.

DOCK TRACK
The Betteravia Industrial park offers a multi car dock track where boxcars can be unloaded and loaded. A dock at boxcar floor level and a ramp where a forklift can unload and load boxcars using a dock plate.

Lumber
Lumber hauled by boxcars, typically Oriented Strand Board and plywood.

Building Materials
Building materials packaged in bags transported in boxcars.

Other products
Any products transported in box cars.

RAMP TRACK
Stub track with a ramp at the end to unload flat cars.

Farm Machinery
Unload tractors and heavy machinery.

ON GROUND STORAGE
Temporary Storage for Bulk Customers
Many manufacturing and industrial companies in the Central Coast do not have the storage capacity to take advantage of bulk shipments. They are designed around truck service. Railcars typically haul three to four truckloads of freight. Temporary warehouse services enables companies who do not have the storage capacity to take advantage of bulk rail transportation to temporarily store commodities and have the commodities trucked when they are ready.

Customers with limited storage space can take advantage of rail service.

Customers can take advantage of both bulk pricing and saving transportation costs.

WAREHOUSE STORAGE
Warehouse storage is available for high value commodities protected fro the elements and theft.

FOOD GRADE STORAGE
The Betteravia Industrial Park offers two food grade storage silos for a variety of dry food grade products such as grain, corn, soybeans, sugar etc.

PETROLEUM STORAGE
A 2 million gallon petroleum grade storage tank is located on the premises.

LOCOMOTIVE AND RAILCAR REPAIR FACILITIES
The Santa Maria Valley Railroad is has located their entire maintenance operations to the Betteravia Industrial Park. The SMVRR performs car cleaning and maintenance and can perform locomotive repair work and inspections. The SMVRR is staffed with qualified repair technicians certified to inspect and repair locomotives and railcars.
