MOW Speeder Run on the Santa Maria Valley Railroad

The Motorcar Operators West (MOW) visited the Santa Maria Valley Railroad for a "speeder" run today. More pictures are here on the Friends web site.
Caught the Surfliner at Guadalupe on the way to the railroad.
Set on took place at the Santa Maria Valley Railroad headquarters at the Betteravia Industrial Park.

Bill Schertle held the safety briefing about 9am.
Lunch was a Santa Maria-style BBQ chicken meal.
Kevin took some of the folks on a walking tour of the old Betteravia town site.
The structure at left was part of the flag pole at the Betteravia schoolhouse.
