The Santa Maria Valley Railroad A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of Coast Belle Rail Corporation Customer Christmas Party on the La Condesa December 2, 2007 The Santa Maria Valley Railroad hosted a Christmas Party for Tartaglia Engineering, a civil engineering firm based in Atascadero who has worked on projects for the SMVRR. The La Condesa was all set to go following a great deal of effort by all the Friends of the SMVRR. See more pictures from this event on the Friends web site. The southbound Amtrak Coast Starlight just happened to be going by as we left Guadalupe. This was the view of the locomotive from the observation deck of the La Condesa for the return to Santa Maria.
