The 2007 season opener for Excursion trains on the Santa Maria Valley Railroad was a gourmet dinner aboard the Silver Lariat!

SMVRR No. 1801 approaches the Silver Lariat.

No. 1801 "runs around" the Silver Lariat to position itself at the point (front) of the train.

The train sits ready to board adjacent to Caboose No. 180.

Engineer (and SMVRR General Manager) Dave Jennings talks with SMVRR President Rob Himoto just before the train leaves the depot.

Rob chats with two members of the Silver Lariat company.

No. 1801 had to "run around" again at Guadalupe for the return trip to Santa Maria.

Darkness did not dampen the spirits of the dome party.
